September Newsletter

Ohmigosh! My September newsletter has almost become an October newsletter. It’s been nothing but crazy and wonderful over here this month (I’ve got so much good news, and even a coupon code!)…I hope your month has been awesome, too.

What a wonderful Summer it has been! Sun…and rain…but we’ve been beautiful and green AND smoke-free all summer, and I won’t complain about that. But as much fun as Summer has been, now that I feel the cool nights, and the trees are changing colour, I’m getting super excited about SWEATER WEATHER! Fall is one of my most favourite times of the year (*hello* back-to-school!) and I love the cool nights, fall leaves, and definitely the lack of mosquitoes. It’s almost time to pull out your warm socks and sweaters, cuddle up with caramel lattes or spicy teas, and do some Netflix & crafting! Woot woot!

I’ve been working on sweaters all Summer, how about you? If you haven’t been, don’t fret. There’s still time to get cracking on cold-weather items before the snow flies! Come on in, and we can go over what you need to warm yourself and your family up this winter. Our monthly sale aligns well with sweater making, too!

Sale –  All Month:
10% off Sweater Quantities! When you buy an adult sweater pattern (or bring one in) and purchase the yarn to make it, you will receive 10% off the cost of the yarn to make it. If we’re short on a specific yarn, don’t worry, we can add it to our backorder list for the sale price!

There are still plenty of yarns on deep discount in the shop, as we try to make room for Fall yarns. Definitely come in and check them out!

Exciting News and Knit City!

This month, I’ve been working hard to finish my new shawl pattern, and I’m so proud to say I’ve finally done it! The Glasswork Shawl has been released on Ravelry, and I’m so pumped to share it with you! For all my lovely Newsletter subscribers, you can use the code NEWSHAWL on Ravelry until September 30, 2019 to receive 15% off this new pattern. Now, if you are not a Ravelry user or shopper (though what are you waiting for?) printed patterns are currently at the printers, and as soon as I have them in my hot little hands, I’ll let everyone know!

The shop will be closed at 1pm October 3rd (a Thursday), and all of October 4th & 5th (a Friday and Saturday) as I’ll be heading to my first ever Knit City event in Vancouver! Knit City is a huge knitting conference, with shopping, classes and other events at the PNE in Vancouver, BC. If you haven’t been, you should definitely go! I’m looking forward to meeting current suppliers and possibly finding new ones, and getting to meet some of my favorite online people. I’ll be at the Knit City Knit Night on Thursday, and both Sat & Sun I’ll be shopping and visiting at the show. I’m also taking a Punchneedle class on Sunday and am so excited to learn something new! And for my other exciting news…if all goes well with shipping from the printers, my Glasswork shawl pattern should be available for purchase at the Black Cat Custom Yarn booth, along with my original sample to view!!! I can’t even tell you how excited I am! Yay!
If you’re going to Knit City, maybe I’ll see you there!
